U.S. President Joe Biden will soon release an executive order targeting foreign adversaries' attempts to access U.S. citizens' sensitive personal data and the personal data of individuals associated with the government, according to a document obtained by Bloomberg. The order will reportedly direct the U.S. attorney general and the Department of Homeland Security to develop restrictions on the transfer of data that "could threaten national security."
