The European Consumer Organisation, the Bureau Européen des Unions de Consommateurs, released a report examining cross-border enforcement of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, TechCrunch reports. BEUC looked at the obstacles its member organizations have found as they seek decisions on a range of GDPR complaints to lead supervisory authorities. In its recommendations, BEUC said the GDPR "must finally show its strength," while data protection authorities should "ensure the swift enforcement of the rules and improve the position of data subjects and their representing organisations."
