The attitude around data governance has improved since the EU General Data Protection Regulation came into effect, yet one common challenge remains outstanding: how to embed a culture of privacy across the workforce. Privacy Culture Limited CEO Steve Wright takes a look at a study that measured the behavior, attitude, perceived control, knowledge and culture from more than 3,000 anonymized and pseudonymized employee respondents. "A common misconception among data protection and chief privacy officers is that a culture of privacy is the conclusion of an awareness, education and training program only," he writes. "It is not — and this misconception should be a concern for any DPO or CPO."
