In line with its recent announcement that it will purge problematic apps from its online store, Apple pulled ad-blocker Been Choice after the program was thought to be tracking users, Fast Company reports. The app has a history of ruffling feathers, “because it blocks ads in apps as well as on the web,” the report states, adding that “the app has raised privacy concerns because it also allows users to answer surveys in exchange for money and gift cards … an option through which it can gain more information about its user base.” Been Choice has said it plans to revise and “resubmit” itself to the store, the company confirmed via its official Twitter feed.
