The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia has unveiled its PrivacyRight program, which aims to help small businesses and organizations in the province understand their obligations under the Personal Information Protection Act. The program uses webinars, animated videos and podcasts to educate on, for example, the 10 basic obligations organizations must meet under the PIPA, privacy management programs and how to write a privacy policy. The commissioner’s office plans to update the PrivacyRight website every month with new topics and resources.
