AXA Insurance announced it has suffered a data breach resulting in compromised personal data of 5,400 Singaporean customers, ZDNet reports. Eric Lelyon, AXA’s data protection officer, said the breach exposed email addresses, dates of birth and mobile numbers of past and current customers, all of which were required to access the health portal. Lelyon explained that no specific action was needed since the information included in the breach was not likely to expose an individual to identity theft but did urge users to be wary of potential phishing attempts that aim to extract additional data.
