Google's move to extend its COVID-19 vaccination card system to Australian Android users is creating privacy concerns, ZDNet reports. Google indicates information held on the COVID Card will remain exclusively on user's devices, but pairing the card with the Google Pay application would allegedly allow data to be moved and stored outside of Australia. In regards to the data storage, Minister for Government Services Linda Reynolds said, "Once provided to the individual, it is their choice as to how they use and store (the vaccine card)."
