The Australian Signals Directorate released its annual cyber threat report, Voice of America News reports. The report identified China as a major state-backer of cyberattacks on Australian critical IT infrastructure, in addition to Iran and Russia. In 2022, nearly 94,000 cyber crimes were reported to Australian law enforcement by individuals and businesses, which represented a 23% increase from 2021.
