The Australian Red Cross announced personal information belonging to local partners may have been exposed in a “major” cyberattack of the large database belonging to the International Committee of the Red Cross, ITNews reports. The database contained information of more than 500,000 people worldwide who have sought help for loved ones missing or uncontactable overseas from Red Cross or Red Crescent. Officials from the Australian Red Cross claimed there was “no indication” information was “deleted or tampered with,” misused or leaked.
