The Federal Court of Australia dismissed a case the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission brought against Google. The court found Google did not mislead consumers in publishing an on-screen notification and changing its privacy policy to expand use and collection of personal data. The ACCC claimed the company did not properly notify consumers of the changes, while the court said Google only implemented the changes with users' informed consent.
