A recent report from Gemalto showed that only 48 percent of Australian IT decision-makers responded that their compliance measures were in line with data protection requirements, and 92 percent noted it was tougher to stay compliant with data regulations, Computerworld reports. The report, which is based on a global survey of 1,050 IT decision-makers and 10,500 consumers, included 100 Australian IT decision-makers and 1,000 Australian consumers. Globally, 60 percent of IT decision-makers responded that they had policy and procedures in place to ensure that sensitive information is protected in line with government legislation.
