A data breach of Ambulance Victoria left the confidential drug and alcohol tests of 600 graduate paramedics available to the entire service, the Guardian reports. The confidential test results from 2017-18 were left publicly viewable on an Ambulance Victoria intranet system. The union representing Ambulance Victoria paramedics requested the agency contact all current and former employees affected by the breach, conduct an assessment to ascertain who had access to the files and cease all testing until the issue was fixed, as well as report the breach to the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner.
