Speaking at the fourth Australian Government Data Summit, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet Data and Digital Branch Assistant Secretary Duncan McIntyre said the government’s approach to data sharing starts with addressing its associated stigma, rather than the data itself, ZDNet reports. McIntyre said, "It's like what they say in property, there's only three things that matter: Location, location, location — there's only three things that matter in data: Culture, culture, culture." Under the Data Integration Partnership for Australia, the PM&C is working with the Digital Transformation Agency on a project that aims to maximize the use and value of government data.
