A new Online Safety Youth Advisory Council will provide feedback to Australian industry and government on approaches to regulating online platforms as well as challenges and solutions around online safety issues, including privacy and the impact of algorithms, ZDNet reports. The selection process for members, to include 20 young adults between the ages of 13 and 24 from a “wide range of backgrounds," will begin in January and the group will plan to begin meeting in mid-2022.
