The Australian Attorney General’s Department announced it will move forward with plans to participate in the APEC Cross Border Privacy Rules system, Hunton & Williams’ Privacy & Information Security Law Blog reports. In the coming months, the department will work with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner to implement CBPR system requirements. Australia will become the third country to join the system this year, following South Korea in June and Singapore’s notice of intent to join in July.
