MediaPost reports 36 U.S. attorneys general wrote to the Supreme Court urging it to uphold a broad definition of "autodialers" under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The attorneys general claim a case brought to SCOTUS by Facebook "threatens to undermine" the fight against fraud and limit the TCPA as a "critical tool to protect consumers from illegal and fraudulent calls." U.S. lawmakers and advocacy groups have also urged SCOTUS to uphold TCPA's provisions.
