At Salesforce’s Dreamforce conference Tuesday, Apple CEO Tim Cook said privacy must be considered during development of new products and is not something to “bolt-on” after the fact, Business Insider reports. “You can see what happens when companies wake up one day and decide they’re going to do something privacy-wise. You just can’t do it. You have to design it in,” he said. Cook has been vocal about Apple’s focus on privacy in recent years and spoke about the company’s broader values, saying “being the best” is its “north star.”
