Apple’s “Privacy Labels,” requiring applications in the Mac and iOS App Stores to display labels that provide information on their privacy policies, will go live Tuesday for many apps, Wired reports. The labels detail three categories: “data used to track you,” “data linked to you” and “data not linked to you.” Apple’s guidelines say developers are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information, and the company said the information will be vetted as part of its app review process. Meanwhile, PrivacyCheq is now offering a nutrition-style label for California Consumer Privacy Act–related privacy notices.
