The Washington Post reports Apple plans to implement new rules for its App Store in an effort to protect children’s privacy. The tech company plans to ban any app targeted to children from using external analytics software to monitor who interacts with an app and how. Developers have raised issues about the impact the changes will have on their business models, as well as whether it will expose children to more adult apps. In response to those concerns, Apple said it will delay the rule change for now. “We aren’t backing off on this important issue, but we are working to help developers get there,” Apple Spokesman Fred Sainz said in a statement.
