The Sydney Morning Herald reports some of Apple's top executives have visited the Australian government twice in the last month about a potential law that would require government access to encrypted communications. On Tuesday, Apple met with Attorney General George Brandis and senior staff in Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's office to discuss the company's concerns with the potential law. Apple has argued for years that mandating government access to encrypted software will make its users less secure. The Turnbull government is currently preparing the new law, but it is not yet known in what way it would require tech companies to facilitate the access.
