ZDNet reports Brazil's data protection authority, the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, launched an investigation into a data breach of mobile operators Vivo and Claro that affected more than 102 million customers. Hackers accessed names, taxpayer identification numbers, phone call details and more from the operators. The ANPD said its investigation is "taking all the appropriate measures," including working cooperatively with law enforcement in addition to the two operators.
