Brazil’s national data protection authority, Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, has been accepted as a member of the Global Privacy Enforcement Network. The ANPD said its inclusion enables “a constant exchange of information and knowledge” with other authorities in the network, calling it a space to discuss “enforcement of privacy and data protection laws, share best practices to address cross-border challenges, work to develop shared enforcement priorities, and support joint enforcement initiatives and campaigns of awareness.”
