Brazil's data protection authority, the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, is drafting data protection rules for small- and medium-sized businesses, ZDNet reports. ANPD Director Arthur Pereira Sabbat indicated the drafting process is in its infancy with "several ideas" being considered, but he stressed the desire to "put something on the shoulders of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that is feasible to them." The goal is to have SMEs comply with the basic and minimum requirements of the General Data Protection Law.
