RBC Capital Markets Equity Analyst Brad Erickson wrote in a client note that Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework may be a sign the company wants to “compete in global advertising,” Reuters reports. “(Apple) can use data privacy as cover while it invests in a search algorithm behind the scenes,” Erickson wrote in the document.
