The Association of National Advertisers opposes potential security regulations for financial institutions that are being discussed by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, MediaPost reports. More specifically, ANA opposes the proposed changes to the Safeguards Rule laid out in the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. In a statement, ANA Executive Vice President Dan Jaffe said the current rule "already provides meaningful security protections" and believes the FTC should look for a more "flexible framework" that suits a variety of organizations.
