Amazon will ask the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to mandate individual arbitration with a delivery driver, Bloomberg reports. Previously, a U.S. district court declined Amazon Flex delivery driver Drickey Jackson’s proposed class-action lawsuit against Amazon for allegedly surveilling his private Facebook group correspondence with other drivers. Jackson brought the lawsuit to court under California consumer privacy laws and federal wiretapping laws. The lower court determined Jackson’s individual privacy concerns would not have been covered in arbitration with Amazon.
