The Wall Street Journal reports Luxembourg's National Commission for Data Protection proposed a $425 million (348.7 million euro) fine against Amazon for alleged EU General Data Protection Regulation violations related to the company's data collection practices. The CNPD sent its draft decision to other EU regulators, which will need to approve the sanction under an Article 64 procedure before it can be officially served. If the fine stands, it will be the largest GDPR fine issued to date.
