Amazon's deployment of the AZ1 Neural Edge processor in recent Echo device rollouts will enhance user privacy, BiometricUpdate reports. Amazon's Echo Show 10 will specifically use the processor to understand the direction voices are coming from and decide where, when and how fast to adjust the camera. "We’re not doing [this] with facial recognition," Amazon Senior Vice President for Devices and Services Dave Limp said. "The cool thing about the technology is it’s all running locally ... and it never leaves the device."
