The Legislative Assembly of Alberta’s Select Special Information and Privacy Commissioner Search Committee recommended Diane McLeod be appointed as the next provincial Information and Privacy Commissioner. The search committee would bring its report to the entire Legislative Assembly May 24, and McLeod begin in her new capacity Aug. 1. She previously worked in the Yukon Territory and prior to that was the Director of the Personal Information Protection Act in the office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
