Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta Jill Clayton said she has “ongoing concerns” about how the province’s contact-tracing app, ABTraceTogether, will work on Apple devices, MobileSyrup reports. Clayton’s primary concern is that an Apple device needs to remain unlocked to use the app, which she said “significantly increases the risk in case of theft or loss.” Alberta Health said it is working with Apple to allow the app to work in the background.
