Spain's data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, announced its Digital Pact for the Protection of People, an initiative committing organizations to integrate good privacy practices. In joining the pact, organizations pledge to "privacy in the sustainability policies and business models of organizations, making the fundamental right compatible to data protection with innovation, ethics and business competitiveness." The pact is open to public and private organizations.
