The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is again asking Google to take up a choice model for alternative search engines on Android devices, ZDNet reports. The call was made in the ACCC's third interim report for its five-year Digital Platforms Inquiry, with ACCC Chair Rod Sims saying the choice screens "give consumers the opportunity to make an informed choice" and provides them "options for alternative search engines around issues like privacy and how personal data is collected and used."
