  • The Office of Connecticut Attorney General William Tong announced a $2 million settlement between seven state attorneys general and CafePress related to a 2019 data breach involving 22 million customers. The online retailer will immediately pay $750,000 of its fine to states and adopt safeguards and added measures to protect customer data.
  • The U.S. Federal Trade Commission announced unanimous approval of a settlement with Nevada-based SkyMed International over a lack of safeguards that led to a data breach involving 130,000 membership records. SkyMed will put in place a comprehensive information security program as part of the deal.
