In looking back at this past year, it’s impossible not to notice the many developments and landmark decisions that will send waves through the privacy world for years to come. And really, 2015 ends with the biggest privacy news story of them all: After four years, the EU is on the brink of passing the biggest data protection framework in history. But that’s not all. Safe Harbor was invalidated, the FTC finally settled with Wyndham hotels, the Office of Personnel Management underwent the largest breach of government records in U.S. history and infidelity site Ashley Madison was hacked, affecting millions.
