BBC News reports on the 329-page emergency bill that passed through the U.K. House of Commons. The bill would give the British government expanded powers as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The emergency bill would allow for audio and video technology to be increasingly used in court cases and also contains a section on fingerprints and DNA profiles.
