In a post for Privacy Tracker, Deutsche Bank’s Janina Rochon, CIPP/E, examines conflicting guidance offered by Poland’s data protection authority, the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych, and the Polish Ministry for Digitalisation regarding the processing of personal data of job applicants. Highlighting the differences between the ministry’s recently published clarifications regarding job data and the UODO’s Employee Handbook, Rochon writes that until the guidance is reconciled, it would be advisable for companies to follow the interpretation of the data protection authority.
