Wojcicki emphasized the opt-in nature of 23andMe's business, noting her goal is to "always provide choice and transparency" while also alluding to a lack of transparency around data sharing in general. Wojcicki also considers health care systems to be "the biggest offenders in privacy" given exemptions they have from privacy and data protection regulations around the world.
