The IAPP and EY Thursday announce the release of the fourth annual IAPP-EY Privacy Governance Report, the authoritative look at how the job of privacy is done, with documentation of average budgets, staff sizes, program priorities, and much more. This year, the responses include a much greater proportion from the EU, and the report focuses on the response to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, which has had every bit the impact many predicted. The data shows organizations expect to spend an average of $3 million in building compliance programming and adapting products and services. Further, the average privacy team has grown to 10 full-time staffers.
