The New York Times reports on Google's announcement on its plans for Street View in Germany despite the fact that thousands of residents have asked the company to delete their properties from the service. "The number of requests will not have an effect on our plans to launch Street View this year," said Kay Oberbeck, a Google spokesman in Hamburg. The option to request properties to be removed from Street View was offered to address privacy concerns, the report states.
