The report states that UK officials failed to provide much-needed clarity by writing the "confusion into UK law, word for word." The article suggests that the EU law is bad for business and consumers since it adds "confusion without improving privacy in any meaningful way...Regurgitating the directive's wording, without any further guidance, is not helpful."
