IBM has announced a $200 million investment into a host of cybersecurity initiatives, IT Business Net reports. The investment covered a global security headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts, "which features the industry's first physical Cyber Range for the commercial sector," the report states. The company also increased the capabilities of its IBM X-Force Command Centers, the report adds. "To adequately prepare for and respond to cyberattacks, companies need to assemble cross-functional teams that bring a strategic mix of security intelligence, technical skill, legal precision and regulatory understanding combined with a comprehensive plan of action," said IBM Security's Marc van Zadelhoff. "With our investments, we've moved IBM into a unique position in the industry with a comprehensive cybersecurity immune system for customers to build world-class capabilities for thwarting cybercrime."
