Acxiom® Corp. has made several significant leadership appointments as part of its continuing efforts to protect data privacy and security.
The company's Chief Privacy Officer Jennifer Barrett has been named Global Privacy Officer. Sheila Colclasure, business leader for privacy practices and solutions, will assume the role of privacy officer for North and South America. Barbara Sullivan, privacy leader for Australia and New Zealand, has been named chief privacy officer for Asia. The company also named consultant Sachiko Scheuing to serve as privacy leader for Europe.
Acxiom provides privacy consulting to some of the largest, most respected organizations in the world to help them with compliance strategies and to guide them in establishing best practices in privacy and security.

"Because we do business in many countries, each with unique laws and regulations, it is critical that we have the most knowledgeable, dedicated team of global privacy leaders in place, and these appointments help to ensure that."
Barrett will be responsible for oversight of Acxiom's global public policy, privacy and information practices. In this new capacity she will provide direction for Acxiom's information-use policy across all global operations, ensure internal compliance with legal regulations and industry guidelines and oversee consumer and government affairs.
