According to a statement from federal prosecutors, a 20-year-old German man has claimed responsibility for the recent data breach impacting many German politicians, journalists and celebrities, ZDNet reports. A statement from the Bundeskriminalamt clarifies that the man is believed to have acted alone and was motivated by his "anger over public statements made by the politicians, journalists and public figures concerned." It also noted that the leaked data was stored on hosting services, with links published via Twitter and a hacked YouTube account.
