About the IAPP

Tyler Spence is a risk management and compliance leader at Amazon, with responsibilities that include administration of the company’s labor compliance inspection program within its employee services organization. He also acts as a subject matter expert for business partners in developing compliance management strategies to support various business objectives.

Prior to joining Amazon, Tyler was the Vice President of Enterprise Risk and Corporate Compliance at ACI Worldwide, Inc., a global Payments Technology company, where he led the organization’s Enterprise Risk, Corporate Compliance, and Data Privacy organizations. Tyler’s diverse background also includes progressive roles in the fields of audit, finance, and accounting, and spans a variety of industries, including manufacturing/retail, financial services, and technology.

Tyler is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Western Carolina University, where he holds degrees in Economics (BA) and Accountancy (MA), respectively.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys retreating from city life to the mountains to enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities with his wife and three children.
