About the IAPP

Ms. Montes is the Vice President and Head of Artificial Intelligence and Data Policy of UnionBank of the Philippines. She also serves as the bank’s Data Protection Officer, Treasurer of the Executive Council of the National Privacy Commission, and Convenor of the Association of Bank Privacy Professionals. She used to be Senior Consultant and DPO of Spanish-based business process outsourcing company, Indra. Prior to that, she is one of the pioneers of Data Privacy Office of Globe Telecom and of Standards & Compliance Group of TV5 Network. She is one of the authors of the book, "Data Privacy and Cybercrime Prevention in the Philippine Digital Age" and awarded as Top 10 Women in Cybersecurity in the Philippines.
