About the IAPP

Robert den Hartog, MSc, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH ... is energetic, friendly and spontaneous. The unique thing about Robert is that he combines guts and common sense in the right dose. Despite his practical drive, he always tries to find the best solutions together with others. With his goal oriented and efficient way of working, he ensures desirable and workable solutions, satisfied customers and a pleasant working atmosphere.

From an early age, he has been pulling apart various devices and wants to know how things work. For example, he performed it from that curiosity, to break through the great firewall of China, because a family member stayed there for a short period of time. This connection is still alive ...

Fortunately he can now call this his "work" and takes on one challenge after the other. He has been Managing Consultant & IT Security Specialist at Milana for some time (who has been Grant Thornton's cyber security division since 2019) and has successfully completed various complex assignments with a variety of clients: from setting up a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) at a multinational, trying to physically and digitally break into a government agency, or going stealthy undercover to investigate suspected fraud; nothing is too crazy for him. And with the privacy certification included, you can safely ask him for advice in all areas of Information Security.

Also from that same passion, he wants to share his knowledge and experiences with others. That is why he regularly provides training to companies and lectures at various levels of education. Robert then introduces them to the world of cyber crime, with spectacular demos and amusing active workshops.
