About the IAPP

Helen is a Senior Counsel, Privacy at NBCUniversal Media LLC. Helen’s responsibilities include establishing and updating global privacy and information management governance, notices and processes, working on corporate-wide projects including California Privacy Protection Act (“CCPA”) and EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) compliance efforts and day to day counseling to a global media company.

Prior to joining NBCUniversal, she served as a Principal in Promontory Financial Group’s New York office and specialized in privacy and data protection matters.  Prior to joining Promontory, Helen managed Wyndham Worldwide’s global Privacy and Information Management Group leading incident response efforts including investigations and remediation efforts for the privacy office; providing training and awareness programs for privacy and information management; implementing an FTC Consent Decree; leading; privacy and information management audits; establishment of global data transfer mechanisms; and tracking and assessing new regulations.

Helen is a New York qualified attorney. She received her J.D. from Pace University, Elisabeth Haub School of Law and her B.A. in Fine Art from Tulane University.  She is also a Certified Privacy Professional for the U.S. (CIPP/US) and Europe (CIPP/E).
