About the IAPP

Michael is a Director of Privacy at USAA providing privacy operations oversight to include Privacy Risk Management and Data Incident Response. As a Director of Privacy, Michael is dedicated to building and maturing privacy programs to identify and respond to privacy-related risks. In his previous role, Michael led large-scale, transformational Change Management efforts as a Strategic Partner, implementing communications, training, and stakeholder engagement plans to support all levels of the USAA workforce. He began his privacy career in 2018.

Michael is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. Now a proud veteran, he served for 10 years in the United States Air Force to include a deployment to Iraq. He is a certified CIPP/US and PROSCI Change Management Professional (ACMP). Michael earned Distinguished Graduate recognition from the U.S. Air Force Airmen Leadership School and was awarded Air Force Medical Service Public Health Airmen of the Year. Mike is active in the IAPP as Co-Chair of the San Antonio Area KnowledgeNet Chapter.
