About the IAPP

Shahab Asghar is Associate General Counsel, Global Data Privacy and Security at Coinbase, a leading provider of cryptocurrency services worldwide. Shahab is responsible for evaluating global privacy and security regulations and establishing compliant privacy standards and procedures wherever Coinbase operates.

 

Prior to joining Coinbase, Shahab was in associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins, LLP, representing clients in connection with complex corporate matters, litigation, and M&A.

 

Shahab has a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
