Jad Sheikali is an attorney at Honigman LLP focusing his practice on information privacy, cybersecurity, and class actions. Jad has significant experience in all phases of the litigation process in both state and federal courts. Jad is a Certified Information Privacy Professional, United States (CIPP/US), a designation awarded by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Jad received a certificate from Harvard’s Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning following completion of its cybersecurity risk management course.



Prior to joining Honigman in its Chicago office, Jad practiced at a leading plaintiff’s class action law firm and led the prosecution of dozens of class action lawsuits arising under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and other privacy statutes. Jad has also litigated class-wide and single-plaintiff actions involving data breaches, mass torts, products liability, breach of contract, and consumer fraud. Having litigated high-stakes matters from both sides of the aisle, Jad tackles complex legal issues with a unique perspective.



Jad earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Florida.



Jad is admitted to practice law in Illinois, Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
